Hi, Everyone. It seems the Fall is a time for rethinking things. We didn't mean to keep you in the dark about the progress of the Love Tour documentary. But, honestly, we've been a bit in the dark ourselves. Telus sat on our funding application for quite some time, and finally let us know that we were SOL.
Plan B was to approach a number of Vancouver film companies (recommended by our lawyer) to explore a possible collaboration. So just yesterday we sent off a proposal to the first company on our list. We're not pitching to all the companies at once because each proposal takes a lot of time and energy--two commodities that have been at a premium this year in our household. I've been dealing with a health issue that has kept me from walking for most of the year. Currently I have a fibreglass cast up to my knee and get around on a knee scooter. Lots of medical appointments, and no chance of walking anytime soon.
That said, we are busy with various projects and trying to enjoy life in Kelowna as much as possible. I hope you are also savouring all of the delicious moments in your life and finding beauty in this season of transition.
We're still committed to producing the Eye for Love Tour documentary and will keep you posted on the next step as soon as have more news.
Meanwhile, we'd love to hear from you. Please leave us a comment below! Also feel free to send us any suggestions you might have about producing the Eye for Love Tour documentary. Click here to see our amazing sizzle reel.
Sending you much love,
Catherine and Gene
