If you wanted to live in a small town in British Columbia, you'd be hard put to find a nicer place than Golden. Not only are the people a joy, it offers all kinds of interesting shops and gorgeous scenery, and is a popular destination for winter activities.
We met Nellie Passero at her fruit stand along the highway, where we stopped for directions to the town. She was happy to be part of the Love Tour. Then Shawn Bowers came along to see Nellie, who's taken him under her wing since his recent arrival in Golden, and he also agreed to be interviewed.
Later, on our (lengthy) walk into town, an angel named Natalie Dufault stopped her truck and offered us a lift. Now that was love in action so we interviewed her too.
We had lunch with Joanne McCullough at the Bacchus Bookstore and Cafe. We had interviewed Joanne on the bus on May 14 and formed a wonderful connection. After lunch, we interviewed Nicole Dusseault, who owns Bacchus. Then Joanne drove us to catch our bus to Calgary--which is where we are now.

So. After all these happy faces, I can't resist posting a gorgeous parting view of Golden's mountains.
Finally here is a clip from our last Thunder Bay, Ont., interview: Sid Gurney.
