If I've learned one thing on this tour (and I've learned many!), it's that too many of the "rules" we think we have to live by are just self-imposed. Step out of that paradigm and you open yourself to unimaginable treasures--not to mention fun.
This morning we interviewed our Victoria hostess about loving the "unlovable." (Both Gene and I were in tears.) After lunch at a cafe along the harbour Sea Walk, we interviewed a guy who was on his first date, and later a young couple, who shared the secrets of their successful relationship.
On the ferry back to Vancouver (the Spirit of British Columbia), we interviewed our bus driver, Dave Klassen, who clearly loves his work. We got back to Vancouver, where our hostess Lena had prepared us an Indian feast for dinner. Tomorrow we leave for Kelowna.
