(Here's the post that should have gone out last night, but we ran into a WIFI glitch.)

Imagine looking out your window at this scene. No, it's not on a tropical island. It's a little piece of paradise in Victoria, British Columbia, which belongs to my cousin Jeff St Gelais and his wife Sheryl. Jeff cultivates the largest and most varied stand of palm trees in Canada.

Well, folks, we’ve come as far west as we’re going to get on the Eye for Love Tour. We came to Victoria on a ferry teeming with people this afternoon, at the beginning of a holiday weekend. We interviewed a woman from Port Moody who was enthralled by the sight of the ocean even though she sees it every day. Our second interview was with an Italian-Canadian who has lived in Victoria for much of his life. A couple from London, Ontario, were also happy to talk to us on video for the Love Tour. In the evening, we interviewed my aunt, Helen Maycock.

We interviewed Giuseppe Lora on the ferry to Victoria.

My aunt Helen Maycock recounted a number of love stories from her varied work history.
Finally, here is a clip from our May 4 interview with Taylor Baranec, who was on her way home to BC.

How can you not love all of this?! So fascinating, so beautiful and tender. Really... what a marvelous gift you have brought so many people, Catherine and Gene. I am blessed to be your friend... and you have made many new ones too! I can't wait to see the final movie or play you create from this journey. I hope you will always know the inspiration you have brought to other people's lives from this project. Much Love to you two! Cheryl :) xo xo
