Our Board of Directors

I've been writing plays since 1999—a number of one-act plays and three full-length plays, including The Walk, my play about sex trafficking. I was a member of the Playwrights’ Unit at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, and studied playwrighting through the University of Iowa online. I also enjoy directing, having directed the audio of The Walk and its French adaptation Dé/marche, and worked as assistant director for False Assumptions (Plosive Productions/Gladstone Theatre).

In a previous incarnation, I acted in professional children’s theatre and performed principal roles in several amateur productions. I've always written. I was a journalist in both print and broadcast media, but also trained and worked as a translator, travel consultant, photographer, radio announcer, editor, teacher, motivational speaker…My avid curiosity continues to express itself in my passions for playwrighting and documentary writing.

Executive Producer

I co-produced the 2011 and 2012 stagings of The Walk, and recorded all the video interviews for the Eye for Love Tour in 2014. I am Moon Dog Theatre’s Office Boy.

My love of theatre goes back to my graduate days at the University of Wisconsin, where I specialized in American drama. I later taught medieval English drama at Lakehead University.

I've been a writer and editor for more than 30 years, and published Not Just Another Tour Book: A Practical Guide to the Sights and Traditions of Ottawa and  Making Your Life into a Work of Art: The Techniques of Memoir Writing. I've also developed and led workshops on memoir writing and memory.

In most of my recent work as a freelancer, I've created web-ready text out of complex material.
